Thailand Mission and Cultural Trip 2012 - Journal 4

It was a l-o-n-g day! But so many of the team said that this was the best weekend of their entire lives! The day started with a trip to the Khao Yai National Forest Park. This is the first time that we have seen herds of monkeys both when we were coming and going! The hike for the first time did not have too many leeches. But there were some. But I’m still 3 for 3. None has gotten on me as yet. Lunch at the top and a trip to one of the waterfalls rounded off the Park visit.

One of the great highlights of this cultural part of the trip is visiting the Jungle House and riding the elephants. We were all in heaven! Many on the team had this on their bucket list. We were happy campers!

Tonight we attended the first International Culture Show here on the campus. They have very rich diversity here. Indonesia won first prize, Africa second and Philippines third.
