London Journal #6

It was my day off from speaking during the day. So I tried to get a few pedometer points by going to the Mall. Also tried to catch up a bit on reading and work stuff. In the afternoon Eglan took the Indian pastor and me into London to get the best rate of exchange for the dollar. The English pound is so strong now that it is almost 2 to 1. We then went to another Jamaica take-out place and got more Jamaican food! I got back just on time to gobble down most of the food and get ready to head off to the church on the other side of London. It was another blessed evening. The mime group, the youth choir, and the senior choir performed. I spoke on James 1:2-8 – the subject of trials. James says that we must “count it all joy” when we have trials and suffering. The point is that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” So I wore my smiley face tie tonight! The choir made a presentation to me of 2 dress shirts and a tie.
