Thailand Mission and Cultural Trip 2012 - Journal 8

It was a good day, though lots of little bad things happened, 2 of which involved my camera: 1). All the 59 pictures I took today are smudged. Just noticed it, and just cleaned the lens. 2). I lost my camera case with memory sticks and extra batteries. Actually I left it in the grass when I was weeding on the farm. I returned to the field and it was waiting for me anxiously!

We got the cement footing and had it lined up. We used the weed-whacker for the first time. Weeded more fields; taught more children; ate more food; got more massages; had more good times!

The great surprise of the day was having my good friends Kendra Haloviak and her husband Gil Valentine show up at my guestroom door. It is Kendra’s first time in Thailand, and Gil was the VP of Academic Administration here for a number of years. It was a delight to see them. They will be here for the weekend.
