Thailand Journal 5– Aug. 27, 2019

Noah
set us off on the right foot with his devotional to begin the day. At the
elementary school, the WWU teachers continued their successful bonding with the
students; and during the lunch hour, the farm team joined in the experience. On
the farm we finished weeding around the beans, and got through a good chunk of
the peppers. Noah took a chance of eating one, and suffered the consequences
long after! The coconut water and jelly, the papaya, and corn were much kinder
to our palettes and digestive systems. In the afternoon the rest of us got our
massages. The total cost for all eleven of us was under $120.00 (including a
big tip)! It was so worth it. Deanna and myself got the extended 1.5 hours’
treatment. My masseuse was a former Thai female boxer. She got down into, and
unknotted some muscles that I didn’t know existed! We ended the day at the
famous big Tuesday Night market, followed by dinner at the University’s outdoor
food court. The new fruit of the day for some in the team, was the guava.
