Thanks goes out to Olivia for an inspiring devotional to
begin the day. At the English Camp there are
the ups and downs. Some grades
like a bunch of angels; others are challenging. That’s to be expected. But
daily I receive glowing reports of the marvelous time of bonding and learning
with the kids. And I see it with my own eyes when we join them for lunch. Quite
an experience at the farm today: First it rained last night and the

road in
front of the farm and the entrance were super muddy. The van got stuck. The
students got out and pushed. With the wheels filled with mud and no traction,
we were still able slide to our destination! Today was fertilizer day. We
bought six 50-kilo bags and made huge progress in fertilizing a large corn
field. But it was muddy! We met new neighbours by the corn field, one of whom
taught himself English from YouTube. He speaks it very well. They gave us passion
fruit from their vines. In the afternoon most of us hiked in a park around a
lovely waterfall near Muak Lek, Chet Sao Noi Waterfall National Park. We ended the day eating from the a la carte evening menu in the cafeteria.
