Caribbean Cruise 2022 - Day 4

 

We're in the Netherlands Antilles, only 800 miles north of the Equator.  We took a bus tour of Aruba this morning. Most of the parts we drove through looked like my childhood eastern Kingston - lots of cactus and dirt yards. The challenge here in Aruba it that they only get 18 inches of rain annually. When we did the second half of the tour on the boat, it was a different Aruba -- beautiful 10 kilometers of white sand beaches, and lovely hotels, houses and condos!

The capital is a lovely little city, in which I spent some time getting my 20k steps and doing a little shopping.
