Thailand Journal 19 – Sept. 10, 2019
It is now 9:00pm in Walla Walla. We started traveling at
4:00am on Tuesday September 10 (Thailand time; 2:00pm Monday September 9, Walla
Walla time), for a total of just about 30 hours! My flight took me through
Vancouver, Canada, where I had to go through both Canadian and USA immigrations
and customs’ check. And even though I have Global Entry, my bags were randomly
selected for a search. I’m not complaining. Security is important. Most of the
rest of the team flew directly to Seattle. But their flight was delayed. I
arrived in Seattle just as they got on their Delta to Portland. As I got on my
Alaska flight for home, Deanna texted me to say that there are thunderstorms in
Portland, and their plane had to turn back! But NOW we are all back home
safely. PS. Olivia is spending a few more days in Thailand. She can be assured
of our prayers.
