Thailand Journal 14 – Sept. 5, 2019
Today started with a
great theological and practical devotional by Krizelle. Only those who have
experienced the last day at the McGovern Elementary school understands the
reality of the event! The photos fail to capture it. During the Assembly time
we not only got gifts, but every student and teacher personally gave each of us
a “good-bye.” Deanna
was the “hit” of the team. She got the loudest cheer and the most gifts from
the students! As usually, they make a big deal of the gift Elton sends each
year for his little boy, Hassidim. And the final good-byes as we try to leave
is filled with tears and emotions. On the farm we continued the weeding; got
Nang’s famous banana chips, and a new drink from Atid. See below for recipes he
sent. In the afternoon we went for the first time to the largest McDonalds I’ve been to – 2 stories in the shape of a BigMac. Then some shopping at Tesco Lotus for the farm, and other knixes and knacks. Ended the day at the Blue Restaurant, and we exchanged shirts. Another wonderful meal! Here are the recipes that Atid sent:

the pea flowers in water. Cover the lid for 2-3 minutes until boiling. Remove

the water prepared 2. Wait until the pea water starts to warm. Add the syrup.
