Thailand Journal 12 – Sept. 3, 2019

Thanks Salina for beginning the day with your inspiring devotional. The English camp went very well today; but the day belonged to the “farm.”   In the morning the regular team weeded about 5 rows of corn. But in the afternoon the rest of the gang joined us for another 2.5 hours in the field. Together we did
about another 20 rows! What a muddy, exhilarating feeling! And there were all kinds of new things to try. Auntie Nang’s sister, Auntie Prakong made another dessert-like dish for us in the morning, and our new neighbor friend, Atid Sansena, brought us a drink made from pea flower. It changes color when lime is added. All so delicious. No rain while we were working in the field, and the temperature was 76 degrees. We were honored to have the new president of the university, Siroj Sorajjakool, stop by to say hi during our lunch.
