Caribbean Cruise 2022 - Day Two

 

On the Island of Sint Maarten/Saint Martin today. There were 3 cruise ships docked. 95% of St. Maarten's economy is dependent on tourism. Took a tour of both the Dutch side and the French side. A most
wonderful tour guide. Included in the tour was about 85 minutes on a glorious lagoon. What was special about this part of the tour, was that the music for most of the playlist were Bob Marley's songs.

On the way back to the ship I saw a little Jamaican restaurant, So after they dropped us off, I high-tailed it back into town to buy some patties. But I basically walked through the entire town and could not find the patties or the shop. But I found another restaurant that had the last two fried fish. Bought them both and some coconut candy (semi-coconut drops and grater-cake). On the way back to the ship I saw the Roti Hut! I had passed it three times and did not see it. But the patties

were sold out by lunch time - as it usually is all over the world wherever it is sold outside of Jamaica. Although I was full after dinner, I still stuffed myself with one of the snappers. Don't forget that I did do an earlier mango-stuffing as well!
