The first Sabbath is always a busy one that helps to heal jet-lag in one day! At church this morning Janelle Macias was asked to participate in the sermon by telling about the risk she took in coming to Walla Walla University. In the afternoon we went to Uncle Prasarn and Aunt Nang’s farm for Branch Sabbath School. It’s always an emotional moment when Auntie Nang (and her sister) and Uncle Prasarn and I reunite. We gave them the dog food and chicken feed that Kaylene and Lorraine sends each year for the dogs and
chickens. I preached my little sermonette, as is the tradition; and then we toured the farm. The climb to the White Buddha lived up to expectation. It’s 631 steps. A grueling task! But we made it! For the first time it rained as we got to the top. It produced an airconditioned experience. Dinner at the Blue restaurant (Srifa) ended the day on a grand note.
