Thai Journal ‘23 - #10

Wow! What a day! The experience at Bamboo School cannot be put into words, unless you are a genius wordsmith! This afternoon was most moving as we made a trek into the mountainous, breath-taking, region on the border of Thailand and Myanmar, doing health assessment and giving out health products in a refugee settlement. Deanna is such a skilled professional. We also visited the border that links Thailand to Myanmar by a “no-man’s land.”

The day began with worship and lots more stories by Momo Cat.
Then off to the other property by the lake to finish building the Walla Walla “tree” (representing the Garden of Eden) that we began last year. Incidentally other schools (including Loma Linda) have built trees, following in our footsteps, in that worship space. In between all of these activities there were lots of moments of playing together, and lots of expressions of love.

And the day ended and the Sabbath began with their wonderful and unique worship experience, which included a “communion”: They wash each other’s hands, and drink grape juice and a Thai bread; followed by hugs all around. Awesome, awesome day; awesome, awesome experience; awesome, awesome, awesome Momo Cat!
