Thai Journal ‘24 - #5
The day began with an inspiring worship talk for the team by Julia. Then off to the Public Elementary School where we all were introduced to all the students and faculty during the Assembly that began their
day. The six team members who stayed were divided into 3 groups. The students loved them, and it was reciprocal. Thanks to Doug who took many photos to tell the story of the day. Check out the Flickr album to see some great shots. The other 7 of us headed to the farm. We stopped by the hardware store and stocked up on fertilizer for the corn. We are anxiously waiting for a good rain downpour to apply it. Today, because the ground was dry, we were able to get a lot of weeding done. Of course, the coconut water gave us extra strength! In the afternoon 6 of the team got massages at Jenny and Rose parlor. So, so good! As usual, I was running up and down doing errands, like getting Prasarn’s wheelchair fixed, and purchasing medical supplies for him. The day ended at the fabulous Namtok Kitchen restaurant by the river, and then a quick jaunt to the Monday Night Market.
