Thai Journal ‘23 - #13

Yesterday we said our “Good-byes.” Very emotional. Began in town saying good-bye to all our vendors and friends, and making some last minutes purchases at DIY (Do it yourself); and more feed for the chickens and dogs, as well as some more sturdy baskets for the farm. Then on to the farm. We also bought some bed spreads at the night market for Prasarn and Nang. As always there were shirts for them (including Nang’s sister, Auntie Prakong). As always, very emotional parting; but always with the hope of a soon return. Next stop, Rose and Jenny’s massage parlor. Most significant this year, was Rose’s sense that someone in the group was having pains in their leg. She offered a fervent prayer for healing. This is not the first time this has happened in our group’s interaction with these sisters. Ended the day at the Blue Restaurant (Srifa) with Tom. Then a lovely sunset topped it off. About to board the flight for home.
