Thai Journal ‘24 - #8

Doug McClay, the librarian on our Portland campus, gave an inspiring devotional this morning. On the farm we had a contractor join us to give an estimate of our major project there this year. We need a smooth walking surface for the wheelchair and the new mechanical lift that we are getting for them. As Auntie Nang is getting older, she will not be able to lift him from bed to chair. Thanks to ShelleyB (Mitchel Bryce), we are getting something mechanical that also needs a smooth surface to wheel on. The English Camp continues to be invigorating and exciting. In the afternoon we made our annual trip to the nearby Namtok Chet Sao Noi waterfalls. Did a bit more touring around Muak Lek; patronized some beauty salons; and ate at Srifa. Ended the day with the annual “durian-tasting” party in my room. For a few in the group, it was not the best experience – and that’s putting it mildly.
