Asia Journal ’24 - #13 Final

 

I’m home after another long trip across the Pacific and up the west coast of the USA. I’m on a high! What a blessing. What a success! Thanks be to God! And special thanks to my hosts (Alice, Leon, and Daphne). They not only arranged the highly informative interviews and worship events, but they allowed me to engage so many, and varied cultural experiences that put context to any theoretical information I would gain from research in a library or even from a zoom interview. Happily, my contention that true worship needs to be wholistic, and can be demonstrated biblically and more clearly in the global south’s indigenous cultures, was affirmed with many illustrations in Indonesia and Malaysia. My next foray will be into India and Bangladesh.
