Thai Journal ‘25 - #6

 

Wednesday started off well with the arrival of Keziah and Alihia at 2:30am. The activities of the day began with a powerful devotional and prayer by team member, Devin Bethurum. At the elementary school they had an all-morning assembly focusing on recycling in space, with lots of costumes made from recycled material. Our own Devin was dressed up as an astronaut. Deanna was one of the officials who gave out prizes. At the farm we continued weeding corn. But the highlight was the joy that was brought to Nang and Prasarn with the arrival of Keziah. The

massages she gave Nang put smiles on the farmers’ faces! They gave us lots of sweetsop/custard apples to take home, as well as other fruits. In the afternoon while some went to Overjoy Café and Amazon Café, Keziah, ShelleyB and I went shopping for school supplies for the elementary school. We had dinner at the Mar Der La restaurant – a new restaurant in town. They loved it. We’ll be back!! We ended the day with the annual Durian Tasting Party. Couple people loved it. One had to leave the room. The odor was just too much. Most took it in stride. And with that durian note, I bid you good night 😊.
