Thai Journal ‘25 - #16

 

Today was filled with emotional goodbyes and heartfelt “Thank-you’s,” and the sharing of t-shirts. First, we stopped in town and checked in with our pharmacist, Art; then the store where we purchase animal and bird feed; then to Sab, our hardware store lady; and finally, our grocery store owner. While we were doing that, Doug went to say goodbyes to the folks at Overjoy. Then on to the farm. As per every year, it was emotional. Uncle Prasarn was not feeling too well. We continue to pray for him.  Then up to Lotus to do some last-minute shopping. Back at school, more visits and “thank-you’s” to the university president, the transportation director, the director of housekeeping, etc. Our final act was dinner at Srifa. Most of the team got checked in at 10:30pm for the flight home. But my flight is at 8:00am, and others are going to Chiang Mai and Phuket. So, we are spending the night across the road at Prime Sleep.
