Thailand Mission and Cultural Trip 2012 - Journal 13

It was a fairly quiet day here. Everybody is feeling better. At the High School it was the last day for English Camp. They have Sports day for the rest of the week. As always they have gifts for us and we give the teachers T-shirts. The Director of the school sent a souvenir elephant for me. We had a great time there this year again, and they are looking forward to our return next year.

On the farm we continued weeding the large corn field and building the shed, and getting some natural electrolyte from coconut water. The University Plant Service experts also came out and figured out how to best secure the new pump that we have ordered.

I may have mentioned that we have 4 MA in Social Work students/recent graduates and Kisna (from the School of SW) on the team. The SSW wishes to have their students be involved in Social Work projects here. So today we began discussion regarding this, and it seems very promising.

Oh, how can I forget to mention that each morning one of the team members volunteer to have our morning devotional. This morning it was Sean Mitchell’s turn. What a blessing it was. He knocked it out of the park. Everyone was saying that this unassuming, quiet young man is going to make a fantastic pastor.
