Thailand Mission and Cultural Trip 2012 - Journal 17
Today was Community Day in a village near the University. We joined the School of Nursing, Mission Hospital, RAIS School, and the Thailand Mission of SDA in this all-day outreach. There were not as many persons as in years past, but the activities were very rewarding as always. The teams assisted in weighing and measuring, assisting the doctors, dentists, pharmacist; checking blood pressure and blood sugar, and helping giving out gifts of blankets, shirts, books, school supplies, and 20 baht (a little less than a dollar). They saw all kinds of ill people, including a person with leprosy.
Tonight Loren and Shelley Agrey, the first couple of the University, invited us over tonight for a wonderful haystacks dinner, and energized game of Rook. A great way to end the day!
