Thailand Mission and Cultural Trip 2013 – Journal 7

Elephant ride
At the Park
A very, very, long day today; but it is part of my strategy to help the team get over any jetlag they might have before they begin the mission aspect of their work tomorrow. But it was an exciting day for them. We first went to the Khao Yai National Park and saw monkeys, deer, a couple waterfalls. And only one leech! That was the only disappointment. In years past, the screams were memorable as they stuck themselves on the unsuspecting. But this year there was no rain, and the path was paved and oiled, and the team was well forewarned! The elephant rides were enjoyable;  and they are always a highlight of the trip. On the way back got some great mangoes, and Jeremiah and I taught them to eat them the Puerto Rican/Jamaican way!

Thai dance
Today began the Second Annual Cultural Festival here at AIU. Tonight they put on an awesome cultural show of dances, drama, and songs. Four hours of excellence and fun.
PS. Having problems with the internet. So tomorrow I'll edit this.
