Thailand Mission and Cultural Trip 2015 - Journal 14
We felt very accomplished on the farm today: we completed
the weeding of the field of small pepper plants and began the new field of the
more mature plants. Again, it was overcast, thus making the working conditions
more bearable. Every year we find frogs in the field. The biologist among us,
Emmanuel, got quite personal, and got peed on. Spring also took turns in
petting that wild critter. We also had fun drinking coconut water and sharing
our coconut meat with the many baby chicks!
Nuny Mooton the head of the English Department at the
Elementary
school treats us so very well at lunch time. One day she herself cooked lunch
for us. But today was Kyle's (Christian) day. He has a cadre of girls who have
fallen in love with him. They piled on presents for him. See my photo site to
note Noey's special gift of love!
The massage parlor was booked out from noon until almost
8:00pm for us. Every team member received a 90-minute massage. The knots in my
neck and back were especially tight. They got worked out. Then many went to the
Tuesday Night Market and brought back bags of shopping. It was an exciting day.
