I was hoping that today would be the joint church service. But
International met in the auditorium (which was packed) and Thai in the church.
The piano duet by the 2 Indonesians was spectacular. A highlight of the day was
seeing Supaporn and eating with her two brothers and families. I baptized her
in Chiang Mai in 2005 during our Mission trip then. We sponsored her through
High School and College. She graduated a couple years ago and is working as an
accountant at Ekkamai school in Bangkok. A high point each year is a Sabbath
afternoon trip with AIU students, led by Diana, to the orphanage in Lop Buri.
The time with the girls was simply precious. We ended the day with our annual
pizza party at the home of the VP for Advancement, Ryan Keough. We were
delighted to have Lindsay Beddoe and Alyssa Olson (the two student missionaries
from Walla Walla University who are at the Adventist International Mission
School here on campus) join us for the entire day.
