This week some team members wished to experience the other
project: Brenda Sotelo joined myself, Nathan McGee, Kelsey Landa, and Andrew
Glencross on the farm; and Jonathan Muriu, Barbie
Chavez, and Jacqueline
Grange, joined JoLene, Andrew Yamada, David Shepherd and Jasmine Rodriquez at
the elementary school. On the farm we continued weeding the pepper field; got
banana sticky rice cooked in banana leaves (similar to Jamaican blue draws).
Burning heat day; so the truck could continue to deliver the rocks for the road
without sinking in mud. Finally got a massage. She spent almost the entire 1.5
hours just on one spot on my upper back. Serious muscle tension. Thanks to my
dear friends Rose and Jenny for finding this place for us. Hoping that their
parlor will open up again soon.
