Thailand Journal 4– Aug. 24, 2018

The team arrived (minus one, due to connecting problems) about

midnight last night. We got to campus about 4:30am. I got to bed at about 6:00am, and was up after an hour of deep sleep – bright-eyed and bushy-tail, ready to conquer the world! After running into town, with similar energetic team members, to buy dog food and chicken feed, and to set up our Thailand phones, we went to schedule massages for Monday, and to visit Nuny and the children at the Primary school.

Many of the kids barely glanced and saw me in the distance, and it
was excitement all around! It’s going to be a great year! After the team’s orientation during lunch, we headed for the annual trip to Tesco Lotus and the Pizza Company for dinner. On the way there we always stop at the fruit stands near Uncle Prasarn’s farm. For most of the team, the fruits were new and exotic. We ended the day with Vespers. Here are the members of Team 2018: Inez Aguirre and her mom, Lisa Gonzales; Gaby Blood-Rios; Mariela Smith; Kaye Reyes; Sandy Jensen; Millen Cabanilla; and myself – the first time with only one male in the group.
