Thailand Journal 3– Aug. 28, 2022

We continued the process of de-jetlagging by spending all morning and most of the afternoon in Khao Yai Park – a most beautiful rainforest an hour from the university. We saw monkeys, deer, and a number of waterfalls. Of course, on one of the hikes, leeches did what they were born to do. And the annual screams filled the forests. Down pours of rain came just as the elephant rides. But that did not lessen the experience. A must-do early in the trip, is the imperative that team members be taught that mangoes must NOT be eaten with a knife and fork; rather, one’s teeth must be the utensil! A stop at the chocolate factory, has also become a tradition.  Deanna has never driven on the left side (the correct side) of the road. Because we have such a large group of students, she offered to dive the car. We took her for a nerve-wracking spin. She will be alright. The day ended with dinner at the food court on campus.
