Thai ’09 Journal 19
All the projects ended today, except the farming. Tonight the nurses invited all of us to the big dinner and concert put on by the community and themselves. Some of our girls also performed a song to fit the occasion. Prior to that, we taught our last sessions at the Language Center. Evelyn did a great job in making the little kids memorize Psalms 23. The High School kids have so improved their English. All of them received WWU T-shirts; and some of the little ones got t-shirts and stickers. Earlier in the day the Public High School had a great send-off for us. They gave us lovely embossed towels with their school logo; and we gave them (and our assistants from Asia-Pacific International University) T-shirts similar to the ones we wore for the trip. They are begging us to return next year. We make a lot of progress on the Pepper field; and we should do even more tomorrow since almost everyone on the team will join us at the farm.
