Thai ’09 Journal 15

We were with the big cats today! We drove 4 hours to the Tiger Temple, where Buddhist monks and volunteers care for numerous tigers and other wildlife. The grounds are sacred; so we had to be attired as if we were entering a Buddhist temple. It was awesome! I took over 200 photos. Although it was a 14-hour day, we most likely will make it an annual event as part of the mission trip to Thailand. We got to pet the big and small cats, walk with them, and even kiss one! Not even the rain dampened the wonderful time we had. We are all now energized for the second week of the work for which we came here.
