Thailand Mission and Cultural Trip 2013 – Journal 11

Kaci
Jeremiah

Today Kaci joined the team on the farm, and did a good job in moving the weeding along. We are so very fortunate to have cool weather and overcast skies, and even a slight sprinkle of rain. It was perfect to work the fields. Kaci wanted the full experience, so she even tried her hand at cutting a coconut! Jeremiah did as well. But he has Puerto Rican roots!

Today was my day to have a massage. My Assistant, Kalene, made it clear on day one that I was going to have one this year. They tried
last year; but everyone was demanding my time whenever I had a little free time. But Kalene used her power of Assistantship to control the agenda, and refused all requests to have me help anyone this afternoon during the time I was to be massaged. The session lived up to expectation. I’ve never had my lower extremities massaged with such intensity. And she worked out the knots in my back with such elbow vigor, that the knots squealed with delight!

The team is having so much fun at the evening camp/VBS; and the kids love it! Still a small group; and that was expected tonight since it
was raining – the first since we arrived.
