Thailand Mission and Cultural Trip 2013 - Journal 17
Possibly
the big event of the day was the send-off at the High School English Camp. The
teachers gave our team members t-shirts custom-made with “English Camp 2013”
written on the back, and we gave each of them one of our shirts. They were
great to work with and they loved working with us. And the kids were awesome.
The rest of the week they will be having Sports’ Days; and thus no regular
school.
On
the farm, this was the first day with the sun blazing down in all its fury. But
we still got a lot of work done. Tomorrow the entire team will be at the farm
working. Plant Service will be there also to install the solar equipment. They
will also help us set up the satellite dish that we bought today to bring TV
channels into the house. We also got a flat screen TV (of course, I don’t think
they make any other kind), and all the accessories to make it functional; got
them and radio; a fan – it gets very hot here, as you can imagine; and a desk
lamp. We will have fun doing all the installation tomorrow.
Kaci
left tonight. She has in important family reunion back in the States. We are so
happy that she was part of the team. The kids loved her, and especially her
Llama song/”rap”. They “sang” it with her one last time at Evening English
Camp.
