Asia Journal ’26 - #15
I’ve arrived in Bangladesh on the last leg of my 3-week sojourn in South Asia. Before I left Kolkata, I
toured the school and compound where I was staying. There are 1000 students on that small piece of land. The students and faculty get their workout climbing the many stairs. My host, Andrew Nimon and one of his sons, met me at the airport in a CNG (tuk tuk) uber. I was so delighted to ride in it and experience the Bangladesh traffic. His wife and other son are also so delightful. We had a great dinner and conversation. Mangoes, of course, had to be “destroyed!” I’m staying at a very inexpensive and lovely hotel nearby, called “Babylon.”.jpg)
