Asia Journal ’26 - #19

I thought I had experienced South Asia monsoon downpour until today! It took us 90 minutes to do a 15-minutes drive. The roads were flooded. In some places almost knee-high. The photos and videos give a taste of the experience. We travelled in all kinds of transportation: rickshaw (motorized and pedal) and CNG/tuk-tuk, with some breaking down, stuck in gutters, shutting down, etc. For me it was exciting! Incidentally, ShelleyB said she heard about the flooding in Bangladesh on the news in Jamaica! The interviews sessions were also great information gathering experiences. Good stuff is happening in Bangladesh!
