Thailand Journal 8 – Aug. 28, 2018

Sandy Jensen blessed us this morning with her devotional. I continue to be impressed with the close relationship our team is having with the students at the elementary school, both individually and collectively. At the farm we continue the huge task of weeding the corn. The ladies on our team drank coconut water from the coconut, for the first time. Auntie Nang also gave each of us a bag of banana chips– the  ones the team last year loved so much. After lunch we went to the Chet Sao Noi waterfalls, here in Muak Lek.   It was pure muddy and rough and high. They took our entrance fee and let us in, only for us to find that the hike around the Falls was closed. They will allow us to return next week, if it returns to normal. We went to Tesco Lotus and had donuts and ice cream and a bit of shopping.
Another big storm burst shut down the big Tuesday Night Market. Ended the day with the Durian tasting experience. It didn’t go too
well for some of the team who tasted it for the first time! Haha!!
