Thailand Journal 17 – Sept. 6, 2018

Today was the penultimate day on the projects; but the last day of teaching. We began the day with an inspiring devotional from Millen. Then off to school for the grand ceremony of saying goodbye. This is one time that I’d encourage you to scroll through the photos that Chokchai took with my camera: https://www.flickr.com/photos/143715478@N06/sets/72157700457595365. The passion and
emotions can hardly even be captured digitally. It is an experience long to be remembered. Every student showed each of us personal love and appreciation. The teachers gave each of the team members a cowboy tie, with the recent king’s photo on it. The English
teaching team, led by Kaye, stayed on for 3 hours in the afternoon and had PE classes for the upper grades. And then the final goodbyes!! Teams from recent years know what I’m talking about! At the farm, we needed more fertilizer; so we made a stop at the garden store and picked up enough to finish the field. The wonderful and heart-warming surprise was to see Nang’s sister. What joy. She enters the hospital this weekend for surgery. We keep praying for her. Ended the day at another Thai restaurant and a quick stop at the night market.
