Thailand Journal 22 – Sept. 16, 2022
I’m in Walla Walla. I left the hotel in Thailand this morning, Friday, at 4am and arrived in Walla Walla at 6pm on Friday, a total of 28 hours travelling. Remember I crossed the International Dateline. I’m tired! However, I had to some de-jetlaging. So, before I even unpacked I went and mowed the lawn. I’m busted! But that should not take away at all from the very positive outcome of the trip, after a 2-year hiatus because of COVID, both we and our Thai friends were so blessed, words cannot express. Both the Walla Walla University and the Rotary projects are so important in my wholistic evangelistic task. As I have said over, and over again, sustainability is key. This is not a tourist running in-and-out. This is building long term intercultural relationships—a two-way street. If you would like to read a little more about the biblical and theological foundation for what we do, you can read my book Complete Evangelism (Herald Press) or dialog with me about it. It’s the future of evangelism for a pre-christian world and a post-christian world. However, I’m glad to be home!
