Thailand Journal 7 – Sept. 1, 2022
The day began with Janelle giving the devotional. I did not receive any news from the English camp of any mind-blowing stories or events. But from the photos I could see that they were having a jolly good time. The sad news, however, is that Nuny tested positive, and will be out for a few days. Praying for her. Quite an experience at the farm today: Uncle Prasarn needed new dressing and other supplies for a very bad sore he has on his behind. Keziah is the only nursing student on the farm team. We went shopping and she did the honors in dressing the wound. In the afternoon 4 of the English camp team members joined us on the farm. The extra hands were so very helpful in almost finishing the weeding and planting. Some more good food
was given by Nang; and her sister brought a couple hands of some huge bananas. We ended the day eating at a lovely restaurant that I usually take the team to at least once each year. They fix fried fish like we do in Jamaica – with the head. This usually blows American minds! The team was in a grand mood on the way back to campus, singing at the top of their voices both pop and gospel! What an awesome group! Finally, the one team member who tested positive for COVID the day before we left, is now negative, and should arrive before midnight. Excited to have the full compliment in place.
