Asia Journal ’26 - #20
It has been quite a trip home – from the teeming millions of Bangladesh to the great Pacific northwest –48 hours of traveling from Dhaka, New Delhi, Helsinki (Finland), Seattle, and Walla Walla. Lots of delays, airlines computer hiccups and technical difficulties, yet wonderful outcomes. I’m on a high! What a blessing. What a success! Thanks be to God! And special thanks to my hosts in the Punjab, Kolkata, and Dhaka. They not only arranged the highly informative interviews and worship events, but they allowed me to engage in so many and varied cultural experiences that put context to any theoretical information I would gain from research in a library or even from a zoom interview. Happily, my contention that true worship needs to be wholistic, and can be demonstrated biblically and more clearly in the global south’s indigenous cultures, was affirmed with many illustrations in South Asia. Here is the link to all the photos taken on the trip: https://www.flickr.com/photos/143715478@N06/albums/7217772033435473
