Thai Journal ‘26 - #8
Travis began the day with an appropriate devotional before we embarked on the final day of the first work week. Instead of the hospital tour, which we have been doing for the past 3 or 4 years, Deanna and Savannah joined the university community nursing students at the SDA Academy where they were making presentations on health. The rest of us continued our work on the farm and at the elementary school. In the afternoon we drove to Pak Chong to do some shopping at the Premium Outlet Mall. The team ate dinner at a little bistro near the campus (Farmito Arigato Café). The highlight of my day was having a delicious dinner (and a tour of the property near the university) with my Thai daughter, Supaporn, and her brothers’ families. Those of you who have been following my mission trips will remember my meeting Supaporn in 2005 in Chiang Mai and sponsoring her through Academy and College. That was 21 years ago! She is now a very successful businesswoman in Bangkok! The team (at least those who could make it) began the Sabbath with Vespers with the APIU family.
