Thailand Journal 8 – Sept. 2, 2022
Keziah began our day with a blessed devotional. And Alyssa arrived, and joined us bright and bushy tailed all day! Today was something new: Instead of the normal community medical Sabbath tomorrow, Dr. Pornpan and some of her nursing faculty drove up from Bangkok to spend a day with the nursing student in community nursing. We first went to the Muak Lek hospital, where we had an official welcome and a tour. Then a 40-minute drive to a community hospital operate by the Muak Lek hospital. We enjoyed the same hospitality and was invited to join the doctor and her staff to make home visit. Wow! That was quite an experience.
You can go to my Flickr site to see more photos. Our nursing team was very impressed and blessed. The 3 non-nursing team members switched from farming to teaching at the elementary school. It was good, but challenging, seeing that they had to combine the older kids with the younger ones in mostly an out-door experience. For dinner we raided a7-Eleven. Then as usual I gave the van a Sabbath bath, before ending the day at Vespers.
